Our Team

Gabriel (Gabe) Feinman-Riordan

Founder, Lead Designer

Growing up in New Jersey, Gabe dreamed of a life surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. After finishing a degree in Ecology, he moved to New Orleans in 2016 to turn that dream into reality. Since then, Gabe has designed and maintained verdant and luscious gardens throughout the city. He has a keen eye for selecting plants that will thrive in their prospective environments while adhering to a high level of design.

Jake Bash

Accounts and Communications Manager

Jake joined the Garden Gaze crew in 2022 and loves working with both people and plants. His background is in small business administration and he applies his decade worth of management skills to Garden Gaze to provide the best customer service and results possible. There is no problem too big or too small that he can’t find a solution for. Jake enjoys building team culture, cultivating relationships with clients, and learning more about New Orleans ecology, history, and culture.

Reed Everette

Operations Manager, Assistant Designer

Reed is a Louisiana native who grew up gardening with his mother and grandmother. Through hands on experience and generational wisdom, he possesses an intimate knowledge of Louisiana’s tried and true plants, as well as the aesthetics that make the Deep South famous for it’s lush and wild gardens. Reed specializes in integrating native and perennial plants into the traditional Southern pallet to create dynamic and sustainable gardens that are a feast for both the native ecology and the humans who live with it.

Emily Hiatt

Installation & Maintenance, Edible Garden Expert

Originally from Utah, Emily spent a decade in Washington state pursuing a degree in biology, working on organic farms and running school garden programs before moving to New Orleans. Her passion for sustainable urban agriculture and equitable food access led her to managing a local farm, where she immersed herself in learning the joys and challenges of growing food in the gulf south. In her role at Garden Gaze, she specializes in designing and maintaining edible gardens that utilize organic methods to support healthy soil, plants, and the community that enjoys them.
